Southern Engineer's Bookstore

Branding Identity & Website Redesign

Southern Engineer's Bookstore is a local bookstore that sells textbook and supplies to Kennesaw State Students and local professionals. I took on the project of recreating their branding identity as a class project and then in another class took to redesigning their website. Their website (sebookstore.com) and logo was dated and needed to be updated with the new colors that came along with the merger with Kennesaw State University. I wanted to use the school’s colors to show the connection between the store and the University. I also wanted to make the site more user friendly for the target audience which would be college students. I created the website mock-ups using UXPin, the logo in Illustrator, and the style guide in InDesign.

Website Redesign

Redesigned Website

The goal of the new website and logo was to have a much cleaner and modern feel than the previous, and I believe the new site and logo show this with the use of more modern typefaces and bringing in the new Kennesaw State colors. The purpose of the site was to make it easy for students as well as local professionals to get textbooks and supplies quickly and with few problems. The new site would make it easier for students to know what is at the store and be able to purchase the books online or in the store.
